High Wycombe's modern library is housed over four floors in Eden Centre. It caters for all ages and offers:-
Teenagers will find plasma screens with comfy bean bags to relax on, computers, DVDs and Wii.
Young children have a colourful story telling area, book 'trees' and 'tunnels' and a variety of toys to explore.
There is also an art exhibition area, quiet study rooms and 3 meeting rooms and more than 30 computers for public use.
Items can be reserved online and an email will be sent to advise when item is ready for collection. There is a £1 per item charge for this service. There are self service check-in and check-out points and a chute accessible at all times into which returned books can be deposited.
A toy library called Boomerang allows all children from birth to 6 years equal opportunities to extend their learning through play. It is primarily a place where parents, grandparents, carers, nurseries, pre-schools and primary schools can have access to a variety of toys and resources. Items are sanitised between loaning sessions. A membership fee of £15 p.a. is payable for parents and £22.50 p.a. for child minders.
